Reconfiguring an Existing Windows 2000 Connection

 

1. Click on Start, go to Settings, and Click on Network and Dial-up Connections

2. Right Click on ChiliTech and Select Properties.

3. A ChiliTech Properties Window should appear. Make sure there is no check in Use Dialing rules. Click on the Options tab on the top.

4. Make sure that the Display progress while connecting, Prompt for name and password, certificate and Prompt for phone number are checked in.

5. Click the Security Tab. Typical (recommended settings) should be checked in and "Validate my identity as follows:" should be set to "Allow unsecured password"

6. Click the Networking tab along the top. Make sure the "Type of dial-up server I am calling:" is set to PPP: Windows 95/98/NT4/200,Internet.

7. To view the TCP/IP Properties, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.

8. Click the Sharing Option.
