Outlook XP 1. Open the Outlook XP program. Click the Tools option and select E-mail Accounts from the menu.
2. Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and click Next.
3. Click on your e-mail account and select Change to view the accounts current settings.
4. Click on the More Settings button.
5. A Internet E-mail Settings will apear. Click onto the Outgoing Server tab.
6. Put a check in My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and click the OK button.
5. Click on the Finish option to save changes to your account settings.
