Netscape Mail 4.7 - Reconfiguring an Existing Account

1. Open Netscape, then click on the Edit menu at the top and select Preferences in the menu that drops down.

2. Expand the Mail & Newsgroups options and select Identity. Make sure Your name is in the correct field. Confirm that your e-mail address is correct in the Email address field.

3. Select the Mail Servers option. Confirm that the default Incoming Mail Server is pop3.chilitech.com and the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server is smtp.chilitech.com. Leave the Outgoing mail server username blank. To view the Incoming Mail server properties click the pop3.chilitech.com to highlight it and click Edit.

4. A Mail Server Properties window should appear. On the General tab, confirm that the Server Type is set to IMAP Server and your ChiliTech user name is enterted into User Name field. Check the Remember password option if you want Netscape to remember your e-mail password. Click the IMAP tab to view the IMAP properties.

5. Below are the default options of the IMAP server settings. Click the Advanced tab to view the Advanced incoming mail server properties.

6. Below are the default options of the Advanced IMAP server settings. Click the Ok button to save any changes you have made to the Incoming Mail Server Properties.

7. Click the Copies and Folders option under the Mail & Newsgroups Catagory. Uncheck any options that might be checked on this screen.
