Outlook Express Version 5.0 - 6.0

Click on "Tools" and select "Options" from the Tools menu.

Then Click on "Connection" on the Options Menu, then remove the checkmark from where it says: "Hang up after sending and receiving". Click the "Apply" button and then click "OK".

Outlook Express Version 4.7

Click on the "Dial-up" tab and then remove the checkmark from "Hang up when finished sending and receiving, or downloading".

Outlook XP

Click on "Tools", "Options", "Mail Setup", uncheck Hang-Up after Manual Send/Receives. (bottom option).

Outlook 2000

Click on "Tools", "Options" then "Connection" followed by removing the checkmark from where it says: "Hang up after sending and receiving".
