Windows Live Mail

1. Open the Windows Live Mail program. Click onto the Menus option and select Show menu bar.

 

2. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts... from the menu.

3. Select the ChiliTech account and click onto Properties...

4. All of your outgoing e-mails will be from whatever you type in the Name field.
Be sure your ChiliTech e-mail address is entered in the E-mail address field. You may put any e-mail address for the reply address. Leave a check mark next to Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing. Click the Servers tab along the top.

5. Your incoming mail server should be a POP3 server. The Incoming and Outgoing mail server names will both be pop3.chilitech.net and smtp.chilitech.net respectively. Be sure your correct login name and password are listed by Account name and Password. Putting a check by Remember password will allow you to check your e-mail without having to re-enter your password. Leave all other options un-checked. Click the Connection tab along the top.

 

6. Uncheck the option to Always connect to this account using. If you would like Windows Live Mail to automatically connect to the internet when you start the program. Check Always connect to this account using and select ChiliTech. Click the Security tab.

 

6. The Security tab should appear as bellow. Click the Advanced tab.

 

7. Under Server Port Numbers, Outgoing mail (SMTP) should be 25. Note: If you are connecting to the Internet through another Internet provider you may need to change the SMTP port to 587.

Incoming mail (POP3) should be 110. Under the Sending section, putting a check next to Break apart messages larger that 60 KB may help if you are having problems sending large e-mails. Under the Delivery section, putting a check next to Leave a copy of message on server will allow you to download your mail into Windows Live Mail and still pull it up in Webmail.

When all changes are made, click OK and then close out the Internet Accounts window.
