ChiliTech Personal Web Space Support

ChiliTech now Offers Free Web space for noncommercial use! Free personal webspace is now included with each dial-up account.

ChiliTech will host any ChiliTech dial-up customers’ personal website free of charge. To activate your free webspace simply email webspace@chilitech.net

1. Open an FTP Program. We recomend WSFTP LE, it is free and can be downloaded here.

Profile Name: Can be anything
Host Name/Address: home.chilitech.net
Host Type: Automatic detect
User ID: The customer's main (UD) dial-up username.
Password: The customer's main (UD) dial-up password.
Account: This can be left blank,
Hit OK

3. Double click on the folder named public_html.
4. Now find the files you want to transfer on the left and highlight them.
5. Use the arrow pointing right to transfer these files.

6. When the files are transferred, they will look something like below.

7) You must have a file named index.html or index.php in the public_html folder or you will not be able to view your home page.

8) The user's webpage will be at http://home.chilitech.net/~username Make sure to use the tilda (~) before the username.
