Symptoms
You want to change your email client from Netscape 7 to Outlook
Express. In order to move all your email addresses in the address
book, follow the steps below.
Resolution
- Open Netscape 7.x.
- From the Window menu, click Address Book.
- In the left-hand column, click Personal Address Book.
- From the Tools menu, click Export.
- Type a file name for the Address Book. ***Note*** You must
type the .ldif extension at the end of the file name. The .ldif
extension is not automatically added. Therefore, if you do not
add it, you will not be able to import the file.
- Click Save.
***Note*** The file should automatically be saved to the desktop.
- Make sure LDIF (*.ldif) is selected as the file type.
- Click Save.

- From the Tools menu, click Address Book.
- From the File menu, click Import | Other Address Book.
- Click LDIF-LDAP Data Interchange Format.
- Click Import.
- Click the address book file exported using Netscape 7.x.
- Click Open.
- Click OK after the address book import process is complete.
