| Dial up using a Calling

Symptoms
If you are dialing a number that is not local for your area and
you wish to use a calling card.
Cause
You can come across this while traveling and your current ISP
does not have a local number for your present area.
Resolution
Start -> Control Pannel -> Phone and Modem Options
On the 'Dialing Rules' tab, click 'Edit' to edit the location
Click on the 'Calling Card' tab, click 'New'
Type a name description for the calling card Account Number =
the 1-800 number to dial to make a call with the calling card
PIN number = the PIN number that you have to scratch off to get
on the card Click the 'Long Distance' tab Access number for long
distance calls = the Chilitech dialup number
For 'Calling card dialing steps':
Click, 'Account number',
Click, 'Wait for prompt', select 'wait for voice prompt to finish',
Click 'PIN', Click 'Wait for prompt', select 'wait for voice...'
or 'wait for dial tone', Click 'Access Number'
Click 'Apply', Click 'OK'
Make sure there is a dot on the calling card you just made Click
the 'General' tab Near the bottom, you should see how the phone
number is being dialed Click 'OK' Click 'OK'
In the Chilitech dialer properties, make sure there is a checkmark
on 'use dialing rules'. Make sure the area code is set to '804'
(this allows the calling card to be used) Click 'OK'
You should see the calling card in the phone number box when
you go to login. To quit using the calling card, uncheck 'Use
dialing rules'.
