Symptoms

User receives Error 691: The computer you're dialing in to cannot establish a Dial-Up Networking connection. Check your password, and then try again.

Cause

In most cases this is caused by somthing being typed incorrectly into the Username or Password fields.

Resolution

Verify Login Information

If the CAPS LOCKS key is on or one of the keys on your keyboard is malfunctioning, you may be typing your login information incorrectly.

1. Open your connection.
2. In the username field, retype your full ChiliTech username (e.g.,johndoe@chilitech.net).
3. Open Notepad or another text only editor and type your password. Copy and paste the password into the password field.
4. Attempt to connect.
